I started outdoor camping as a child with my family.  Now that I have my own family I enjoy sharing the same experiences with them.There’s nothing like the sight and smell of a campfire on a star-filled evening, the quiet and stillness of being away from the city, and getting away from a normal routine and spening time together playing, hiking, cooking, and laughing.

Our outdoor camping trips have mostly been confined to within five hours of our home, but now that our child is growing up, we are hoping to venture further out and our plan is to eventually go across the country with our ‘home-on-wheels.’  My idea is to chronicle our outdoor camping adventures through these pages, as well as share information on outdoor camping trips, camping recipes, camping gear, camping locations, RVs, popup campers, tents, and more.

I also welcome your experiences and may eventually, if there is support for it, add a forum to discuss all-things outdoor camping.
